Coastal International — Terminal Entrance Renewal

Gulf Coast, USA Application study Representative aviation study
GULF COAST, USA

The need

A high-traffic terminal vestibule needs to carry constant luggage carts and mobility devices, shed wind-driven rain and salt, and stay perfectly flush for ADA-considered wheel transitions — all without closing the entrance for maintenance.

The ALUEK solution

ALUEK specifies a reinforced heavy-traffic system on rubber bearers, set into a drainable recessed well with a sloped tray and outlet. Tight profile spacing and grit-rated rubber inserts handle the scraping; 304-stainless connectors resist the salt-air environment. Inserts are field-replaceable for off-hours service.

Outcomes

Flush

ADA-considered wheel transition

Drainable

Salt & rain pulled to the tray
